Yoga for Zen


This class is taught by:

Eric Daishin McCabe RYT

Daishin began study of Soto Zen Meditation with his Zen Master in 1994, and undertook a 15- year apprenticeship with her in central Pennsylvania from 1998 until 2013. He studied under Zen Masters in Japan and with Thich Nhat Hanh in France. Daishin found yoga an awesome complement to Zen meditation, and completed his 200RYT at Yogaville in 2012. He now studies Trauma Sensitive Yoga and is in the process of certification. He lives in Ames with his wife and son.
Zen is direct pointing to your own wisdom and understanding. Yoga asanas – back bends, forward bends, twists, inversions, balancing, and hip openers – facilitate Zen meditation. The foundation of practice is acceptance of your body-as-it-is. All levels welcome.
