Sandy Eimers ERYT500 C-IAYT

Sandy is a pharmacist and owner of balance yoga lounge and principal instructor at balanced breath school of yoga. In addition to leading group yoga classes, she is available for private yoga and yoga therapy work. Sandy also holds certification in trauma yoga and leads meditation classes in Central Iowa.  

Patty Van Meter RYT500 C-IAYT

Patty Van Meter’s yoga practice began in 1995 after experiencing yoga nidra. She is certified in YogaFit®, and completed her RYT500 in 2014. She is currently working towards healing touch practitioner certification. Patty is passionate about empowering yogi's to create a personalized practice from within that leads to balance and well-being. Through yoga, Patty has found boundless strength and joy as well as a genuine love for teaching!

Angela Ossian RYT

Angela graduated from balanced breath school of yoga's first 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in 2012. For the past five years, she has also taught weekly classes at the Ankeny YMCA. Her classes are yin and vinyasa-based with strong emphasis on alignment. She has attended numerous trainings and workshops by admired teachers such as Jim Bennitt, Max Strom, Mas Vidal, Tao Porchon-Lynch, Andrey Lappa and Mara Healy. She strives to bring a sense of fun, freedom and kindness to her classes, and hopes to impart nuggets of yogic wisdom along the way.

Amy Schoene RYT

Amy's mission is to improve the lives of others both mentally and physically through sound healing, Shamanic Yoga and Martial Arts Infused Yoga instruction. Amy left her career as an elementary music teacher to pursue yoga teaching certification in Costa Rica. Her instructor, Juan Pablo Barahona, inspired her to create a life filled with gratitude, abundance, and love!

Jennifer Younk RYT

Jennifer Younk has been practicing yoga since 2002, and completed her 200-hour teacher training through YogaFit® in 2006. She enjoys empowering her students through self-discovery, and has unearthed many ‘pearls of wisdom’ from her teachers, as well has her students. Jennifer is continuing her training in therapeutic yoga, and is currently a healing touch practitioner apprentice.

Mary Frein RYT

Mary Frein is a graduate of balanced breath school of yoga. What began as a search for balance in her personal life has turned into a quest for mindfulness on the mat and in daily living. With a spirit of gratitude, she looks forward to sharing her love of all things yogic.

A moderately paced class appropriate for beginner through intermediate students. Our mixed level class incorporates fluid movement as well as attention to alignment and breathing. Modifications permit each student to customize the practice according to their needs.
