Angela Ossian RYT

Angela graduated from balanced breath school of yoga's first 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in 2012. For the past five years, she has also taught weekly classes at the Ankeny YMCA. Her classes are yin and vinyasa-based with strong emphasis on alignment. She has attended numerous trainings and workshops by admired teachers such as Jim Bennitt, Max Strom, Mas Vidal, Tao Porchon-Lynch, Andrey Lappa and Mara Healy. She strives to bring a sense of fun, freedom and kindness to her classes, and hopes to impart nuggets of yogic wisdom along the way.

Ashley Randall RYT

Mother of two and avid lifter, Ashley discovered yoga just a few years ago. What started as a way to stretch her body after workouts, has turned into a way of life. She currently is a RYT200 and is working towards her RYT500. Ashley truly believes yoga is for every body - that everyone can find strength, playfulness and peace on the mat.

Jennifer Younk RYT

Jennifer Younk has been practicing yoga since 2002, and completed her 200-hour teacher training through YogaFit® in 2006. She enjoys empowering her students through self-discovery, and has unearthed many ‘pearls of wisdom’ from her teachers, as well has her students. Jennifer is continuing her training in therapeutic yoga, and is currently a healing touch practitioner apprentice.

Amy Schoene RYT

Amy's mission is to improve the lives of others both mentally and physically through sound healing, Shamanic Yoga and Martial Arts Infused Yoga instruction. Amy left her career as an elementary music teacher to pursue yoga teaching certification in Costa Rica. Her instructor, Juan Pablo Barahona, inspired her to create a life filled with gratitude, abundance, and love!

Annette Vance RYT

Annette has three passions, family, sharing yoga, and the visual arts. She taught public school art in Minnesota and Iowa for 30 years, most of that time in Ankeny. In 2000, one of her four sons introduced her to yoga. She attended Sandy Eimer’s classes and after retiring in 2005, trained with YogaFit®. In 2014 she earned her 200 hour certification at balanced breath school of yoga. She also teaches at the Ankeny Art Center, Ankeny adult education and the YMCA Ankeny.
Practice basic yoga postures, the art and benefits of breathing, gentle stretching and basic flowing movement. Modification of poses and use of props are encouraged to enhance alignment and energy within asana. Beginners welcome!
