Mary Lasky
Instructor
Yoga has proven to be both an inspiration and an aspiration for Mary Lasky.
Mary is continuously inspired by the beautiful forms of the asanas, the uplifting feeling of breath work and the overall sense of lightness and well being the practice brings. The aspiration comes in the form of continuing to learn how best to introduce others to the practice, teach and keep them encouraged as they find their own way. She believes once the student opens up to the practice, believes in the process, and surrenders- the will be forever hooked. Learning how to let go, in order to move forward, is a concept that is foreign to most Westerners. This surrender can sometimes take time, and therein lies the challenge!
Mary finds great joy in watching students embrace this newfound freedom and open to their true potential…on AND off the mat. She teaches both children and adults, groups and individuals; and enjoys the unique dynamics of the various age groups. Her personal practice follows the Ashtanga discipline and she has had the good fortune to study with various master teachers, having recently completed her teacher training with David Swenson.
Mary has also completed her 200 hour equivalent training with Sandy Eimers and is YogaFit certified.
