What do your actions reveal about you?

Speeding down the freeway earlier this week; behind a car that was making the most of both lanes- I started thinking…what kind of person drives like this? After making a conscious decision to stay well behind this unpredictable vehicle, my mind slowed down long enough to start contemplating what might be going on inside the car in front of me. There were no visible signs of distress, and the driver was not holding a cell phone to ear.

Are those of us with black and white perceptions of life the drivers with rigid rules in regard to speed, turn signals and rules of the road? And those who seem to wander the roads more than drive on them the folks who have more flexible views of life in general? It was such an interesting thought, and I was so entertained by the idea, that all irritation dissolved and I found myself enjoying the ride.

Actions provide windows to how we see ourselves within the Universe. Becoming aware of our nonverbal communication is important for effective communication. Maintaining balance between perfect order and complete chaos is a daily struggle. Do my habits in maintainig my personal space scream my personality type? Does the space around us tell more about us than our words?

I finally passed the car without incident and found my exit…just wish I could have seen the inside of the car…would it have been piled with ”stuff,” or relatively empty? Is there a pattern in your life of habitual chaos or energy lost to the pursuit of perfection?
